Stay Positive. Be Thankful.
This week we wanted to take a moment to let each of you know how thankful we truly are for you. It is rare to find a staff so dedicated to the success of their students. Each of you comes in to serve on a daily basis. Many people don't fully understand the amount of time and energy it takes to serve children, and we want you to know that your effort does not go unnoticed. We have been reflecting over the last few days, and we wanted to share some of the positive moments happening around our building. Let's finish strong these next two days and reflect on all the good that is happening around us. Our students are thriving, our staff is unmatchable, and our community is being impacted by the change we are making within the walls of our school.
Stay positive. Be thankful.
Staff Bulletin BoardEvery staff member serves a purpose in our school and we are thankful for all that you do.What if every day we took some time to reflect on why we are thankful for each other? Each of these notes was just a small reminder of how you impact each other and create positive change in our building.
Student Bulletin BoardSome of our third-grade teachers allowed their students time to reflect on what they were thankful for as well. Teaching students how to reflect is such a powerful thing.
PVHS Basketball Team - Guest ReadersWhat a great way to build leadership in our community? The head coach of the boy's basketball team at PVHS reached out to see if his team could come read to some of our classes. Students all along the halls were asking about our guest readers and getting excited.
Positive Referrals and Phone Calls HomeMany of you have heard the positive referrals being read aloud on the announcements. Not only are we receiving them from the classroom, but we are also receiving them from the bus office now. What a great way to show our students that how they act matters no matter where they are. Let's continue building leadership in our students by celebrating their successes and pushing them to impact others who look up to them.
Engaging LessonsMany of our fourth-grade teachers made an effort to engage their students with finding text evidence. Activities and lessons like these are what our students remember when they leave our rooms. Even if they don't say it, they are thankful for the effort you put into having such an innovative lesson because their parents and other staff around the building hear all about it.
Consistent Behavior ReflectionsTeachers like Ms. Arnold are using the behavior activity sent out to ensure that all of their students are uploading their behavior daily. It is very important that we communicate how our students are behaving daily with their parents. By using this activity, you as a teacher can easily see who has or has not uploaded their behavior so that follow-up conversations can be had with those that forget or don't want to let their parents know where they ended their day.

Chorus Concert PracticeAre you ready for our Chorus Concert on December 13th? These students sure are. Mrs. Fitch does an excellent job preparing our students to showcase their skills. We will be showing the concert on our half-day before our winter break so that all of our students can enjoy their performance.
We are so thankful for each of you! Your impact surpasses the thanks that you will receive each day. Always know that you matter, your effort matters, and you are appreciated!

"We don't get burned out because of what we do, we get burned out because we forget WHY we do it."
Stay positive. Be thankful.
