Celebrate Success
At PVES we work hard every day, and we have high expectations for ourselves and our students. It is important that we make sure we are stopping to recognize the positives and celebrate successes along the way. We have much to celebrate at PVES! One point to celebrate is that all our Cognia evidence will be turned in on Friday! Let us continue to keep our focus on our goal of developing learners and leaders as we push on and believe the best is yet to come!

Olweus Class meetings began last Monday.

Important Information for PVES Staff:
Picture Day is Monday: You can refer to this schedule here for estimated times and assigned locations. The front office will call down for your class when the photo We have PTSO volunteers who will be located at each station with the student QR cards and will hand them to the students accordingly. I have placed faculty and staff QR cards in your mailboxes. Please bring your QR card with you when you are ready to have your picture taken which can be done with your class or at a more convenient time. These are the pictures we use for the yearbook. If you need to switch your assigned location, please let me know so I can be sure the student QR cards are at the correct station. We want this to be a pleasant experience for everyone.
NEW Best Meeting: We are excited to meet with you on October 11th from 3:15-4:00 p.m. in the library. We plan to check in with you, answer any end-of-the-first nine-week questions, review grade books, and answer any parent/teacher conference questions. If you have any specific questions that you feel would be helpful for us to answer for the group, please feel free to email us prior to the meeting. We will try to plan to address these during our time together.
Olweus: This week we will be focusing on lesson 2 that can be found here in our folder. Please be reminded that your OLWEUS meetings should not take your entire PRIDE time. These meetings should end no later than 8:40 like in previous years. This should still allow you time to pull a reading or math intervention group.
Positives Referrals: We want to find ways to celebrate the awesome things our students do each and every day. Remember students are able to clip up in the classroom. You can also award a house point to a student who demonstrates being purposeful, respectful, innovative, determined, or excellent. We also want to share another way to recognize students for positive behavior. If you have a student who has gone above and beyond we would love for you to submit a positive referral using THIS LINK. This will email us and let us know when can celebrate. We would love to follow up with a shout-out, positive phone call home, and house points! Thank you for your help to celebrate our students! We believe in each one of them.
Writing Wall of Fame: It is getting close to the end of the first nine weeks, which means we will have some celebrating to do on October 22nd after announcements. If you are new to PVES, please refer to the photograph below in regards to choosing a student for the Wall of Fame. Please make sure to add in your child's photograph, writing, and why you chose their writing HERE in this presentation, by October 20th.
