It takes a TEAM

This week we will focus on TEAM. We are blessed at PVES to have such amazing individuals coming together for one common goal of helping students to develop as learners and feel empowered as leaders. In order for all students to learn at high levels, it takes an investment by all of us working as a team. The investment involves academics, social-emotional learning, a safe and clean environment, and care for the whole child. This week I want you to be encouraged by your important part in the team. Take some time to reflect on the part that you play and know that you are each making a difference in the lives of our students and your co-workers.  Celebrations for PVES: Mr. Little went to cheer on one of our fourth graders at his hockey game.  Mr. Richard coaches his PLAY basketball team. They played a great game!  Several of our math teachers met last week to find a way to introduce fractions to our students in a fun way. Look for more ways we are making fractions fun as we k...

Goals

Goals... In our last blog post, we discussed taking some time to reflect on the year so far, refocus, and then set goals. I want to encourage you to continue to dream big for yourself and your students, continue working on the goals you have set, and don't forget that a goal is just a wish without taking action. Be purposeful with your time, determined to make progress, and know that there is a team ...

This is the first blog of 2022 so let me say Happy New Year to you! I hope you have enjoyed your break and found time to relax, refresh, and recharge. The new year brings about a great time to refocus, set goals, and reflect. This is also a great time to do the same with your students. As we return from break on Monday, please remember these words. Take some time to refocus and revisit your expectations for procedures and behavior and make sure you take time to practice. Remind students of their purpose and the goal to learn and lead each and every day. Be sure to reflect on your lessons and make sure you are making the most out of every moment you have with your students. I want to also remind you that not all students enjoyed the break. Some missed you and are so ready to be back. Others will have a difficult time transitioning back to the routine. Consider this as you spend time this week welcoming them back. As always let's show our PVES Pride in all that we say and do!  Some t...
